ADULT SPIRITUAL TRANSFORMATION
Director Dr. Pam Edwards: pedwards@cvcc.net
Ministries to adults at Cedar Valley Community Church are designed
to help you navigate life. We know that you are pulled in countless
directions -- taking care of loved ones, work schedules, making
the money fit the month, and finding time for what really matters
-- which is always difficult.
We know that life is hard, sometimes harder than we could have
ever imagined. We can't take away the pain, but we can help you
connect with others and explore what it means to be a follower
of Jesus. We'll dive into His word, the Bible, and His plan for
living daily life.
All of our ministries are designed to allow you to explore Christianity
safely with others. We won't give you cookie-cutter answers to
hard questions. But we will help you discover the way, truth
and life of Jesus along with others.
More than anything else we want you to know that you belong
here. Take your time. Get acquainted and check out a ministry
or two. We’ll do our very best to help you find a space
and place that fits you just right.

Those attending have increased their bible reading, are diving deep into their own life experiences, are practicing new spiritual disciplines, and are paying attention to 1) what God has been up to in their lives; 2) who God is; and 3) what God desires to do through them for the Kingdom. Ask about their experience!! Talk to Lance and Corah Webber, Denise Hare, Rick Shirley, Dan Walker, Melissa Braun, Kathleen Repenning and Erin Martin. New groups beginning Fall, 2008.

Small
Groups - click
here for more information
Small groups meet during the week
primarily in homes. Different ages, different interests, different
times. New groups form whenever
there is interest. Some groups have been meeting for years. Some
form for special needs and service projects to others. Small
groups help you connect in friendship and mutual interests.
Looking for a small group? Group Finder is
a tool to help you locate a small group based on answering a
few questions
about the type of group, location, and time you would like
to meet. Click here to fill this
out a form and we will find you a group to join. You can also contact Pastor Ben by email bwedeking@cvcc.net or
call 319-235-6781 to find out more. We want to help you get
connected.
Immersion Groups
During
the week we have many different kinds of groups meeting
that we call "Immersion groups." These groups are
similar to small groups, but their focus is targeted toward
in-depth discussion on the same focused scripture that our
lead Pastor, Eric Sloter, is teaching on Sunday morning. We
believe that by "immersing" ourselves in scripture
we can be changed by the power of the Holy Spirit's work
in our lives through his instruction manual, the Bible.
Prayer
Ministry
9AM Fridays at CVCC.
The prayer ministry seeks to meet the prayer needs of individuals
and faithfully leads our church as a whole in our desire to be
spiritually focused in all that we do.
