The Worship Arts Department is the creative arts ministry of Cedar Valley Community Church. We love to worship God using great music, drama, visual arts, technical arts and other creative arts. Our mission is to engage and expect an encounter with God in His house, through the pursuit of a people desiring pure hearts, all while building and expressing the various artistic gifts of our volunteers.
The worship team is the primary musical group within the Worship Arts Department. To hear them sing and lead our congregation in worship is to "experience the life" found in relationship with Jesus Christ. This "family" of worshippers is made up of people from all walks of life who have all experienced the transforming ways of our Life-Giving God. Though their musical expertise and experience varies, each member has a passion to worship God and a desire to do it in an excellent way. They minister weekly in both Sunday morning services and rehearse every Thursday night.
Includes camera operators, video switchers, service directors, lyric projection, video presentation, duplication services and other technical responsibilities. Training is available in all areas.
If you would like to participate in the audio ministry, please call or talk to us. We are always open to additional skilled persons to engineer our house and monitor sound. A mid level of proficiency is required, however technical training is available and will be provided on our specific equipment.
If you have experience as a lighting engineer, or have a level of comprehension toward the technical, this could be your area of ministry. We use creative people who can be trained to program and operate our lighting system. We have in-house programmers who can give you proper training on the system.
This is a team of actors committed to minister through the means of short drama vignettes usually tied to a sermon theme. This team is always open for new talent to expand their ministry.
The Worship Arts Ministry here at cvCc presents art displays throughout the year. If you draw, paint, sculpt, take photographs, or create any other kind of visual art, we invite you to participate. We also include creative writing as part of this ministry. These displays are held at times throughout the year and visited by much of our church body.
