"Everything is Spiritual"
by Rob Bell.

In  the Hebrew Scriptures there is no word for "spiritual".  And Jesus never used the word, "spiritual life."   Because for Jesus and his tradition, all of life is spiritual.  So what does that mean?    For those who have enjoyed the Nooma DVD's this is a resource you will want to get and share with your group.

Why Small Groups?
Everyone knows you should never swim alone, never hike into the mountains alone, and never never go to the Super Bowl alone. You should always take a friend. Someone to get your back. Someone to share the fun and excitement of it all. Our spiritual journey is no different. We need other people to help us along the way. Life is better lived in community. We are better together. Small Groups at cvCc are a great environment for those kinds of relationships to develop.

Small Groups
Embrace the Word
Share our stories
Care for each other
Serve and reach out
Pray and worship

Small Groups are one of many ways to connect at cvCc. Small Groups meet in homes throughout the area during the week, primarily Sunday nights. Click on our list of groups to the right or contact Ben at bwedeking@cvcc.net to find a group that best fits.

You can locate a small group through our list of small groups or Small Group Map.

As Christians we are called to share with others the love of Jesus Christ. We do that best when we are out interacting with the culture around us. There is now a new feature in the "reminders, tips, and questions" section called "Connect with Culture" Each week there will be posted an idea of how you can get involved with the culture around you. Some will fit you. Some won't. But our heart in sharing these with you is that you will get out there and share the good news of Jesus.

Summer Plans

As we move into May and June, talk to your group about your plans for the summer.    Will you continue to meet for the summer or will you gather several times for social functions or both?    Agree on a plan as a  group and whether your group continues to meet or not, continue to stay in touch with one another throughout the summer by phone, having coffee, etc.

A Plan for Growth

As you move into the summer, talk as a group about what goals you would like to make for yourselves concerning your relationship with the Lord.   Write down everyone's goals and make copies so that you can pray for one another during the summer.

Wild for the Child

There are a number of ways you can get involved in Wild about the Child:

  1. Build Relationships with families of children who are attending the camp.
  2. Help promote the project at CVCC.
  3. Give financially to send a kid to camp and a couple of "Bounce Back Weekends" during the school year
  4. Collect supplies, and organize and fill backpacks.
  5. Be a part of the big sendoff for the kids on July 7th.
