Who We Are
Who We Are

pastor eric sloterThank you for taking a few minutes to “visit” Cedar Valley Community Church. At cvCc, we are passionate about pursuing Jesus Christ and becoming a conduit of his love to our world. In fact, our heart is to make Jesus Christ and his love so real that everyone -NO MATTER WHAT - can experience the life-changing love, joy and peace of God.

Welcome to Cedar Valley Community Church

There are no dumb questions. If things feel a little foreign at first, don't worry! In just a few visits the language, words, experiences, even the building will become familiar. There is no pressure for you to get involved, give your money, or sign a document.

We invite you to explore, ask questions, challenge us, then decide for yourself if this is the right church for you.

Amanda-Reiter-small-Pic"As Pastor Eric is talking about stories, I have always known that everyone has a life story.  I have never really thought about people having daily stories.  I guess I have always just looked at the big picture when it came to that.

After last week’s message, I now understand the importance of the daily stories and how much they really matter.  What really grabbed my attention was when Pastor Eric gave the example of how someone may be feeling on any given day, whether it be happy, sad, grateful or depressed.  No matter how they are feeling, there is a story behind that feeling.

I learned that we need to plug in to each other’s lives in order to get to know their story.  I learned that I always need to be prepared to share my story – including the stories of my day – so that when the opportunity arises that I have a chance to invite someone to get to know Christ, I can share my story as well as the story of God.

And, as I am coming to understand, if I want people to ask me about my story and God’s story, I need to be living God’s story in my life a little bit better every day.”    - Amanda Reiter
